Ten years ago David Attenborough released Planet Earth to the world and it was easily one of the best documentaries ever made. It was the most expensive nature documentary ever commissioned by the BBC and you could tell by the quality of it.
Watching animals in their natural habitat going about their everyday business with the sultry tones of Attenborough narrating was truly some of the most spectacular viewing the BBC has ever produced.
However, as we well know, it took so long to get that footage (five years, in fact) that only 11 episodes were ever made as it was too time-consuming to make any more.
Well, a decade later, we're being treated to Planet Earth 2 and it looks absolutely every bit as good as the previous series.
We cannot wait for this...
