Oscar-winning megastar Nicole Kidman is all for pushing boundaries on the big screen, but it seems constant fake-orgasming was too much on the set of an erotic thriller.
Released in 2024, writer-director Halina Reijn's movie marked one of the most out-there cinematic endeavours of Kidman's career so far. In the flick, the 58-year-old plays a high-flying CEO named Romy Mathis, who embarks on an affair with young intern Samuel (Harris Dickinson).
Cue some serious raunch and steam, with Kidman well and truly in X-rated mode.
In an interview with The Sun to promote the film, called Babygirl, the Australian native opened up about her overwhelming experience of making it.

"There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It's like, 'Don't touch me'," Kidman said.
"There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don't want to orgasm any more. Don't come near me. I hate doing this. I don't care if I am never touched again in my life! I'm over it.'
"It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout."
Even though her days portraying Romy were dominated by intense sexuality, or hushed attempts at protecting it between her and Samuel, Kidman was keen to explore 'an area' she hadn't done previously across her career.
"I'm always going, where have I not been? And what can I explore as a human being? And this was an area I'd never been," she said.
The Big Little Lies favourite also caught up with Vanity Fair around the time of the project's release.
During the interview, Kidman claimed it was 'very weird' to shoot BDSM-flavoured sequences with the intention of passing them over to the masses.
The actress admitted: "It left me ragged. At some point I was like, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was compelled to do it. Halina would hold me and I would hold her, because it was just very confronting to me."

"It's like, Golly, I'm doing this, and it's actually now going to be seen by the world. That's a very weird feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world," she continued, before adding: "I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human being."
Meanwhile, Kidman's co-star, Dickinson, has opened up about the 'unacceptable' things people did to him after starring in Babygirl.
