Oscar-winning megastar Nicole Kidman is all for pushing boundaries on the big screen, but constant fake-orgasming was too much on the set of Babygirl.
Released in 2024, writer-director Halina Reijn's erotic thriller marked one of the most out-there cinematic endeavours of Kidman's career so far. In it, she played a high-flying CEO named Romy Mathis, who embarks on an affair with young intern Samuel (played by Harris Dickinson).
Cue some serious raunch and steam, with Kidman well and truly in X-rated mode.
In an interview with The Sun to promote Babygirl, the Australian native opened up about her overwhelming experience of making it.

"There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It's like, 'Don't touch me'," Kidman said.
"There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don't want to orgasm any more. Don't come near me. I hate doing this. I don't care if I am never touched again in my life! I'm over it.'
"It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout."
Even though her days portraying Romy were dominated by intense sexuality, or hushed attempts at protecting it between her and Samuel, Kidman was keen to explore "an area" she hadn't done previously across her career.
"I'm always going, where have I not been? And what can I explore as a human being? And this was an area I'd never been."

The Big Little Lies favourite also caught up with Vanity Fair around the time of the project's release.
During their conversation, the 58-year-old claimed it was "very weird" to shoot BDSM-flavoured sequences with the intention of passing them over to the masses.
"It's like, Golly, I'm doing this, and it's actually now going to be seen by the world. That's a very weird feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world.
"I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human being."
