With GTA 6 updates so thin on the ground, fans are desperate for hints that a new trailer could be dropping soon, and they think they've figured out when that might be.
Ever since Rockstar released the hefty second trailer for the eagerly anticipated title in May, fans have been poring over every scene, trying to find any hints and details about what to expect next.
Even the more recently released trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online, which was released on YouTube on 13 October, has people wondering if there could be any hidden reference to GTA 6 in there.
However, some eagle-eyed viewers have returned to the drawing board by rewatching the second trailer, and a few have their eyes on Jason's watch, which people now believe could reveal the potential release date for the third trailer.

If you look closely, you can see the watch shows '11:08', which some have taken to represent 8 November, rather than 8 minutes past 11, as most of us would perceive.
However, this particular date does hold some water, as it also happens to be the anniversary of the date the first GTA 6 trailer was dropped in 2023.
The theory was shared to X by fan account GTAVI_Countdown, who wrote: "Rockstar Games might've teased GTA 6 trailer 3's date, as Jason's digital watch shows a specific number '11:08' which points to 8 November.
"This date also marks the first trailer's announcement anniversary."

In a follow-up post, they added that an announcement is likely to take place around then, given that Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two, is hosting its quarterly earnings call on 6 November, where GTA 6 is expected to be the main talking point.
It does stand to reason, therefore, that fans may get some kind of progress report on the game off the back of that meeting.
One gaming writer over at The Gamer, however, has pointed out that Rockstar has proven on several different occasions that it doesn't intentionally leave any hints about when more updates are coming, possibly because they don't even know when the next instalment or trailer will be ready.

Either way, there are just a few weeks to wait and see whether the theory holds any water and whether a third trailer will soon drop. Judging by the replies, many have already given up hope of finding out when more details will become available.
"We are not doing this again. I'm tired boss," one GTA fan responded. "This is most likely an easter egg and not an actual prediction."
While a second agreed: "At this point, we might as well stop predicting and just go with the flow. Trailer 3 will drop whenever Rockstar decides to drop it."
