James Corden gets asked if he still remembers the Gavin and Stacey order and he doesn’t disappoint

There are two types of people in the world: those who like to share their food and those who really, really don't.

And when James Corden's Smithy flipped out at the idea of sharing his mammoth takeaway order, the people in the latter category found their hero.

For those of you who don't have a clue what I'm talking about, shame on you, it's one of the most iconic scenes from Gavin and Stacey.

In episode two of the third season, Dawn and Pete join Pam and Mick for a beer and curry night.

This is, of course, music to Smithy's ears, and he gets very excited by the prospect of getting involved, and reels of a huge order: chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna and prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan and nine poppadoms.

However, when it becomes clear the plan is for everyone to share the food, he's takes the huff and storms out.

It's a classic, and is referenced on a regular basis in households up and down the country as soon as someone suggests getting a curry in.

But with it being over 13 years since the episode aired, how well do you think Corden knows his order?

I know he wrote it, but it's been a while.

Well, when the comedian appeared on an episode of First We Feast recently, that exact question was put to him.

And he did not disappoint.

James Corden remembered the scene almost verbatim.

While he was just asked if he could remember what his character wanted, the 44-year-old gave a reading of virtually the entire scene.

"Lamb bhuna, chicken bhuna, prawn bhuna, keema naan, mushroom rice, bag of chips and nine poppadoms, is that it?" he says.

But he's not done there.

He goes on: "Then we're all just gonna... wow hang on. Why have we all gotta... why are we all just...?

"'Because it's nice'. No it's not, not for me, because I can guarantee somebody here, probably Stacey, has ordered a Korma. Am I wrong, Mick, am I wrong?

"'You're right, actually, she has'. And that's pointless to me, it's futile, because I won't touch it, but I can guarantee that Pete is already thinking about my bhunas. Pete, have you thought about my bhunas?

"'Well, yeah'. Right, they're my bhunas, if you want a bhuna, order a bhuna.

"I've had enough of this, it's the same as when I went out with Chinese and his missus last week, they're all digging into mine, going, 'Yours is really nice'. Yes it is, that's why I ordered it.

"In fact forget it, I want no part of it. I'll order my own and eat it in the car."

You never lose it.
