Keanu Reeves Has Most Wholesome Response To Being Called Hollywood's Nicest Guy

Reeves appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk to answer some fan questions

Hollywood isn’t exactly known for its nice-guy mentality, being a huge industry that's ruthlessly built on extreme wealth, fame and power.

But there’s one bloke out there who seems to buck the trend, having managed to build himself a down-to-earth reputation despite starring in some of the world’s biggest films - and, no doubt, getting the salaries to match.

Yep, Keanu Reeves is beloved the world over for his endlessly friendly ways, whether it’s buying Rolex watches for his stunt team or being a total gent by dodging questions about women.

And even when fans try to praise him for his attitude to life, the actor's halo seems to only shine brighter - as proven by his response to someone recently referring to him as 'Hollywood's nicest guy'.

Reeves appeared in the latest episode of Red Table Talk – the online series hosted by his Matrix Resurrections co-star Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris – alongside Carrie-Anne Moss.

During their chat, the trio were posed questions sent in by fans, who asked everything from what it was like working with one another to what makes Reeves laugh.

In a video message from one fan, Reeves was asked: “Keanu, everyone says you’re Hollywood’s nicest guy, and you’re such a giving person. What do you do to give to yourself?”

As soon as the woman referred to him as ‘Hollywood’s nicest guy’, Reeves immediately bent over and buried his head in his legs, coyly hiding his face.

He remained doubled over for the duration of the question, seemingly embarrassed as he shook his head from side to side, before eventually sitting up to answer the question – a bashful smile etched on his face.

Reeves said: “Let’s go for motorcycle ride, let’s read. I love going to the movies. For me, my work is that as well. I often sometimes get asked, ‘You know, you’ve been at this for a while’, and they’re like, ‘Do you still love it?’

“And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I love it even more’. For me, work is life.”

Later in the episode, another fan asked Reeves if he would rather be John Wick or Neo in real life.

Once again, his response was exactly what you’d expect from such an upstanding fella, as it was incredibly diplomatic.

“There’s lots of ways to go with that,” the star said.

“Because we’re here speaking about Matrix Resurrections – and I don’t think John Wick would mind, I think he’d understand – but I think to be able to be with Trinity and have that life with them together, and see what would happen.”

He added with a grin: “I think John Wick would be like, ‘I got your back’.”
