Kit Harington has weighed in on the new Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon admitting it’s ‘weird’ to see another show in the universe take off.

The 35-year-old actor recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter sharing his post GoT life.

While he’s no longer gracing our silver screens weekly, Harington is still keeping up to date with the world of George R. R. Martin as he’s begun watching the prequel show on HBO.

"It’s a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it its own thing, and I think that they’ve really done that," he said.

That being said, even though it is odd to not be involved, Harington has admitted he's loving it.

“I’m really enjoying it,” Harington told the outlet.

“My friend Miguel [is the showrunner on] it, so I’m really enjoying it. I think they’ve done a fantastic job.”

However, Harington won’t give up his famous Night's Watch cloak anytime soon, as it was revealed that the Eternals actor is set to reprise the role of the King in the North.

As House of the Dragon takes place 200 years before the events of GoT, the untitled Jon Snow TV series is the first project in development that will take place after the show’s eighth season.

HBO

Thank God, now we’ll finally have answers as to what happened right after Jon Snow stabbed Daenerys, after Sansa was crowned Queen in the North, and what Arya found west of Westeros.

Despite showrunners keeping a tight lid on the project, Emilia Clarke also confirmed the sequel was happening while speaking to BBC News.

As she was promoting her latest stage show, The Seagull, the 35-year-old actor struggled to dodge questions about the hugely speculated series.

When asked if she knew anything, Clarke admitted: “He [Kit Harington] has told me about it. And I know it exists.

"It's happening."

She added: "It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington."

While this seems far away, at least we can catch up on episodes of House of the Dragon to keep us busy in the meantime.
