A particularly underrated series is available to stream on Netflix, and it might be the perfect watch for you going into 2025.

For those of you who are into binge-watching Netflix shows, we might have something for you on these cold, dark winter nights as we approach Christmas.

Get your hot chocolate ready as you continue to ignore the cold weather because there are three whole seasons of this highly acclaimed thriller for you to feast your eyes on.

Fans and critics have raved about it, which is lesser known due to it originally being shot in German, but with the magic of subtitles, you too can enjoy the TV series rated 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

You've probably never heard of the show before, but after being described as 'mind-bending' by some viewers, you'll probably want to give it a go.

The sci-fi thriller follows dysfunctional characters in the fictional German town of Winden, which is shocked after the disappearance of two children, though the plot twists that follow will leave you questioning your reality.

In a good way though.

It goes beyond the missing children, as the town's families are thrust into a crazy multi-generational mystery hunt, with themes such as time travel and parallel universes scrambling our minds for three straight seasons.

The series is called Dark, and you can view the trailer here:

Following teenager Jonas Kahnwald (Louis Hofmann), who is determined to uncover the mysteries around the odd town, he comes face-to-face with a number of unsettling characters along the way.

First premiering in 2017, it ran for three seasons until airing its finale in 2020, but it looks like the show is still evoking a reaction from fans on social media.

One user shared a poster of the series on Facebook, writing: "If you guys can't wait for S4 I'd recommend watching Dark, its one of the best mind-bending series I've ever seen!

"Highly recommended."

Dark, which was created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, will sadly not have a fourth season as it was written to be a three-parter.

But that hasn't stopped viewers from singing its praises.

Commenting on the original post, one fan wrote: "I loved it!! I said I wanna rewatch it. Soooo good!"

Another shared: "Best series ever played on Netflix, period!"

A third advised: "If you miss a single minute, you'll be lost. So keep up."

While a different user added: "I watched this a while ago and it literally left an imprint on my brain. It’s so good!"

Why not give it a go? You can stream Dark on Netflix now.
