It's one of the worst feelings in the world when one of your favourite TV shows gets taken off streaming platforms.

And now another fan favourite show - which rivals Breaking Bad - is heading for the chopping block very soon.

Speaking of Breaking Bad, the critically acclaimed show is also set to be removed from Netflix, but only in 2025. So no need to panic just yet.

This series is set to be gone much sooner, and has been described as the 'best show on Netflix' by fans online, so as you can imagine, the news did not go down too well.

The TV series will be taken off Netflix in the next month or so.
Showtime

I guess the one positive you have from the news is it gives you the perfect excuse to binge it all again.

Originally airing in 2011, it wrapped up its eighth and final season in the April 2020.

Boasting a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer and an average audience score of 86 percent, it's clear it's not only fans but critics who receive the show well too.

Of course, we're talking about Homeland, with the show slated to be taken off the streaming platform in the UK on 17 February this year.

Netflix doesn't publicise its list of shows to be removed like its US counterpart, instead letting third parties know, with What's On Netflix breaking the news.

For those who don't know, Homeland follows CIA analyst Carrie Mathison as she struggles with her mental health and family issues while 'leading the war against terrorism'.

The political thriller stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Damian Lewis and even Dune star Timothee Chalamet who joins in season two.

Timothee Chalamet made one of his first big acting appearances in the series.

Fans have previously made their feelings towards Homeland known on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One user said: "Homeland has got to be one of the best series on Netflix"

Another commented: "Homeland is the best show on Netflix."

A third fan added: "Find me a better series than Homeland on Netflix I’ll wait.."

Meanwhile, a different fan even made a big comparison: "start Homeland bro! Season 1 is on Netflix it's the only show that has the potential to possibly be better than Breaking Bad!"

Some very bold words from Homeland fans there.

You can still watch Homeland on Netflix now, until 17 February 2024.
