Samuel L Jackson earns a minimum $4 million for each appearance as Nick Fury

Jackson's role as Nick Fury is recognised as an important one in the MCU

The man responsible for saying 'mother**ker' 171 times across 27 different movies earns a minimum of $4 million for each appearance as Marvel's Nick Fury.

Even if his cameo lasts a matter of seconds, Samuel L. Jackson's fifth favourite movie character of all time reportedly brings in millions of dollars of cash, no matter what.

The Marvel actor has appeared in eleven Marvel Cinematic Universe films so far, starting with Iron Man way back in 2008.

According to Screen Rant, Jackson secured the deal of a lifetime by negotiating a sensational agreement with Marvel, for which he apparently earns a minimum of $4-6 million every time he appears in the MCU....'motherf**ker'.

In total, he has reportedly earned between $20 and $30 million for playing Nick Fury, Celebrity Net Worth claims.

His incredible portfolio of work ranges from Ordell Robbie in Jackie Brown to Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction, or even Frozone in The Incredibles.

It turns out that Samuel L. Jackson earnings a very comfortable living from just his role as Nick Fury.

Fans of his work will always wonder, however, what role does he consider to be his best, or perhaps his favourite?

Thankfully, Jimmy Fallon asked the question we all want to know the answer to in a 2019 episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon asked his then 70-year-old guest what he considers to be his top five characters of all time.

"Well, no, not out of 120, it's only maybe 100."

Well, his fifth favourite character is indeed Avengers' Nick Fury.

But when it came to fourth place, Jackson says: "Can I combine, maybe like a couple guys?"

He opted to include only 'Quentin characters', such as Ordell Robbie from Jackie Brown, Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction and house slave Stephen from Django Unchained.

Next, we have third place, which he gave to Jedi Mace Windu from Star Wars.

The actor then kind of skipped his second favourite character and went straight to number one.

Samuel L. Jackson was tasked with naming his top 5 characters.

For those unaware, the synopsis for the 1996 action/mystery film reads: "Schoolteacher and single mother Samantha Caine (Geena Davis) lives an average suburban life -- until she begins having strange memories of unexplained violence and discovers that she has physical skills that she never imagined.

"Hiring private detective Mitch Hennessey (Samuel L. Jackson) to probe into her past, Samantha discovers that she's a well-trained government assassin who went missing after suffering a bout of amnesia and that her former handlers want her back in their employ."

It's definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen.
