After spending his college years at Louisiana State University, also the alma mater of Odell Beckham Jr, Shaq was the first pick in the 1992 NBA draft.

Standing at 7ft 1in, Shaq had an NBA career which lasted for 19 years. He played for six teams, including the LA Lakers, and shared a court with fellow legends of the sport such as LeBron James

O’Neal won everything there is to win in the NBA, he is the recipient of four NBA championships and was the league’s most valuable player in the year 2000.

The fifteen time All Star has had enormous financial success both due to his incredible ability on the court and his impressive marketability off the court.

He famously spent the first $1 million of his NBA salary in just half an hour and holds the record for the largest purchase in Walmart history.
