A creative-based advertisement agency has designed a new poster which claims that Season 6 of dystopian sci-fi show Black Mirror is 'live now, everywhere'.

This follows series creator Charlie Brooker's comments about putting the show on hold.

Speaking to Radio Times, Brooker explained: "I've been busy, doing things. I don't know what I can say about what I'm doing and not doing.

"At the moment, I don't know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I'm not working away on one of those.

"I'm sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I've been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh."

As the comments were made, people also started joking about us living in a Black Mirror episode right now.

Lo and behold, the 'advertisement' appeared, taking the 'we're living in a Black Mirror episode' concept and running with it.

Created by a Madrid-based agency called Brother ad school, a photoshopped image appeared, depicting a mirror on a bus stop which reads: "Black Mirror 6th Season. Live Now, everywhere."

The image - of course - can't actually be found on any bus stops anywhere, but it gives the impression that people have been snapping selfies in the mirror, while wearing face masks and gloves.

Given the way 2020 has played out thus far, it's almost believable that the show itself might have pulled off this stunt, but sorry Black Mirror fans - Brooker's had nothing to do with this one. Netflix confirmed to LADbible that the ad is not officially connected to the show, or to the streaming service.

Shame.

The sci-fi anthology series looks at how technology could impact society - almost always painting a bleak dystopian version of the world.

Season 6 might not be on the horizon any time soon, but this doesn't mean Brooker has just been sitting on his backside during the coronavirus pandemic.

Charlie Brooker's Antiviral Wipe aired last month and saw the 49-year-old offering his signature brand of analysis of life in lockdown.

One of the highlights was a skit on the moment Phillip Schofield revealed he was gay on This Morning.

The 58-year-old presenter made a public statement during an episode earlier this year. However, Charlie felt it was a bit strange that it wasn't Phillip who read out the statement, but his co-presenter Holly Willoughby.

Joking about the set up, Charlie said: "In a bizarre ventriloquist act Holly Willoughby temporarily identified as Phillip Schofield to announce that they were now identifying as a gay man, which is as 2020 as it gets."
