New details about the husband of Tiger King star Carole Baskin have now emerged and may explain the cause of his disappearance. You can find out more in a new clip from Tiger King 2 below:
The new information could be pivotal in the investigation into Don Lewis' disappearance covered in the 2020 Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in the US used the attention from the first series to re-investigate Don's 1997 disappearance, according to Time.
Netflix today (15 November) previewed a sneak-peak clip with new details ahead of the second season's release on 17 November.
The clip features interviews with Carole's ex-boyfriend Alan Schreier and two other men.
The first man speaks in Spanish about Don's final trips to the land he owned in Costa Rica.
He says: "During his last few trips, Don looked worried.
"He told me he was in danger. He said it was over money.
"He had some problems with some people in the US.
"They were really bad men.
"I asked, 'Bad men?'
"He said, 'Very, very bad. They will kill you. Bang.'"
We cut to Schreier, who explains: "Carole told me that he hung around with a lot of unscrupulous type of people.
"Maybe he stuck somebody for some money, and they caught up with him."
Alan says he asked Carole about Don when they first got together.
He asked questions like 'What happened? What was your husband like? And what was the story?'
A third man says in the clip: "After all, whatever Don liked to do, I believe he was a good man. But by the end, he made a mess."
Tiger King 2 will pick up the story from where the first series ended.
Joe Exotic is in jail and Carole is close to gaining ownership of Joe's zoo.
Almost-forgotten names like Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson will all return for a second-dose of cat-astrophe in the first episode this week.
