With news that BBC is bringing back Waterloo Road, fans of the show are thinking back to one of the show's most heart-wrenching scenes - the death of Sambuca Kelly. If you fancy a little cry you can see the scene in question here:
Earlier today it was announced that the school-based drama series would be back on our screens for the first time since 2015.

The show originally ran for 10 series and you really have to wonder how OFSTED didn't get involved with the number of drug incidents, stabbings and underage pregnancies going on.
But it was one scene in particular that many viewers remember as being one of the saddest to air, the death of Sambuca following her diagnosis with a brain tumour.
Sambuca (played by Holly Kenny) had suffered with the long-term brain tumour throughout her time in the show, and eventually passed away at home with her mum and English teacher Tom Clarkson (played by Jason Done) by her side.
The emotional scene, which featured in series seven of the show, still hits Waterloo Road fans right in the feels.
Posting on Twitter one viewer said: "The death of Sambuca Kelly haunts me to this day."

Another wrote: "The SADDEST moment in TV history will always be the episode of Waterloo Road where Sambuca Kelly dies, don't f***ing argue with me."
A third joked: "Will be taking a day of compassionate leave tomorrow as I have re-watched Waterloo Road and am grieving the death of Sambuca Kelly."
While a fourth person said: "Sambuca Kelly's death will always be one of the saddest TV moments ever. Legit just SOBBED."

And fans might have more sobbing to come, with the show's return confirmed earlier today.
Announcing that the popular show was coming back, Piers Wenger, the Director of BBC Drama, said: "Waterloo Road is the perfect lens through which to explore post-Covid Britain, from the perspective of those who have arguably been affected most: young people in education.
