A TV star who learned while filming an episode of his show that his wife had put a hit out on him has given an update on how he's been doing since then.
Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin had been setting up in a supposedly haunted location, getting it ready for filming when he got an alert from his phone that the police were outside his house and they'd just arrested his wife Victoria.
The man was stunned to be told that his wife was being arrested because she'd tried to hire someone to murder him, with Victoria being charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
She later accepted a plea deal where she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and was sentenced to between three and seven and a half years behind bars.
Prosecutors said she had been corresponding with Florida inmate Grant Amato and had intended to pay him $11,515 (£8,626) to kill her husband.
Aaron filed for divorce several days after his wife was arrested, with investigators learning that the plot to kill him had started back in October 2024 and was discovered when corrections officers confiscated a contraband phone from Amato.
While the episode of Ghost Adventures where Aaron learned his wife had been plotting to kill him will be airing, the man himself said he wouldn't be watching it as he 'doesn't want to relive that night again'.
The TV star also left a message for the various media outlets trying to get in contact and ask how he was doing, as Aaron said he was going through 'the worst year of my life' and said he didn't think he'd make it through an interview at the moment.
He said: "To all the press out there messaging me. Thank u for all reaching out & being awesome but unfortunately I can’t talk about anything yet.
"I could tell you guys I’m doing ok but I would rather be honest. Just know I’m not doing good at all & everyday is worse with all I’m learning all the time.

Honestly, I probably couldn’t make it through an interview without being in tears and I’m just not ready yet.
"This has been the worst year of my life."
In his filing for divorce from his wife, Aaron said that he and Victoria's 'views, tastes, likes and dislikes' had become 'incompatible' and it had now reached a point where it was 'impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony'.
"There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife," the divorce filing said.
They had married in 2022.
