James Acaster's dramatic confession has left Celebrity Traitors fans reeling, as well as fearing for future series of the hit show.
Thursday's (29 October) explosive episode saw the comedian hold his hands up - literally - and unmask himself as he crumbled under the pressure of deceiving his co-stars.
It was the first time that a cast member has ever intentionally outed themselves as a Traitor on the series, but as he's not the only star to struggle to keep schtum this season, viewers aren't too happy.
We were warned to expect a twist that 'no one would see coming' ahead of last night's episode of Celebrity Traitors, and by god, they weren't kidding.

Acaster had earned himself the title of one of the 'most trustworthy' players, alongside his fellow traitors Maya Jama and King Kenny, but truly didn't relish in his ability to pull the wool over the Faithfuls eyes.
The self-proclaimed 'reluctant Traitor', 41, began to lose his nerve after he came under the suspicion of Welsh actor Michael Sheen at the roundtable in last night's instalment of Celebrity Traitors.

And after being quizzed about killing former Eastenders star Ross Kemp in plain sight, he sang like a canary - and confessed that he was in fact a Traitor all along.
Acaster told the cameras: "They've got me. I've been caught. You know, I've always been a Faithful at heart. The 'reluctant Traitor'. So I'm going to do what I've done this whole game - continue to be completely honest."
Much to the shock of the surviving members of the Celebrity Traitors cast, he then came clean about his role in this year's series and was met by a chorus of gasps.
"I just want to explain my situation," the funnyman from Northamptonshire said. "I was made a Traitor, without wanting to be.
"I've had a unique experience on this that no one has had before, where I wanted to be a Faithful, that's all I wanted to be. I couldn't just go, 'Guys it's me, vote for me'. But that's all I can do, really."
Take a look at his confession here:
It was a tense roundtable, to say the least - but thankfully, Maya and Kenny managed to remain undetected, despite them both nearly letting the cat out of the bag themselves.
There's been a mixed reaction to Acaster's honest approach, given that he broke the the 'Traitors Oath', which is a vow to 'keep your identity and the identity of your fellow players a secret'.
Viewers took to social media to discuss what they thought of him giving the game away, and how they hope future Celebrity Traitors stars don't follow suit.
Complaining that a lot of contestants have struggled to keep tight lipped this year, one person wrote: "Richard E. Grant blurting out that he's a traitor, Joe Lycett begging to be recruited, James Acaster giving up and ruining the penultimate roundtable. All three things broke the game. Farce of a series. BBC producers had a nightmare."
'He still played a great game'
Another added: "Dear BBC, before recruiting for Celebrity Traitors 3 please reiterate the rules of the game to all players. Yours sincerely, everyone who has wasted five weeks watching this series."
Others were a lot more understanding of Acaster struggling under the weight of the web of lies that the Traitors have spun.
"I honestly respect him for the way he admitted to being a Traitor," one viewer wrote. "It was taking a toll on him and he didn't want to lie anymore. He still played a great game."
A second said: "I watch the show because it is entertaining telly, and James has wholeheartedly contributed to that for this season. Those who are losing it - it's only a game, for crying out loud."
While a third chimed in saying: "Great TV. Love that it can be different every year, so will never get boring."

In his exit interview following his banishment, Acaster said he was 'glad' that he was caught out and offered some insight into what being a Traitor is really like.
"When you see people have real life reactions that are bigger than the game, you feel bad," he said. "And I would have to remind myself they don't have a game without you, literally, if no one's doing this stuff, they can't play, and they all want to play.
"So you are doing an important job here, so they all have something to do, and when they catch you, they'll be really happy and they'll like it, and it will feel good to just tell them and see that reaction."
Maya, Kenny, Sebastian Croft, James Blunt, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, and Romesh Ranganathan are the stars who have made it to tonight's final of Celebrity Traitors.
