Fans of I'm A Celebrity wait all series for the fearsome but hilarious 'Celebrity Cyclone'.

It's a game that often proves too much for our celebrities, and host of the show Declan Donnelly found out to his cost just how difficult it is.

Ant and Dec usually get to giggle from the side-lines and have a good laugh at the expense of the contestants, but on the one occasion where the presenting legend decided to give it a go, it all went badly wrong.

Geordie star Dec took on the trial more than a decade ago, and ended up with severe injuries.

In fact, he hurt himself so badly that he was left needing the help of a physiotherapist for six months.

Many celebs have required medical treatment throughout the show's history, so it's no surprise really that Dec wasn't an exception.

The Mirror reported Dec's mishap when he opened up last year about the Celebrity Cyclone: "We're doing the Celebrity Cyclone today. It's always fun to do, but it takes a while to do. It takes a long time to get everything set up and get all the paint bombs set up and all the sludge and the slime.

"Yeah, it takes a long time but it is fun, the most fun. Everybody who watches the show always wants to give it a go. We've actually done it in the past. We've done the trial."

Ant added: "We did it for charity years ago, didn't you pop your shoulder?"

Dec recalled the wince-inducing incident: "Yeah I did. I ended up in physio for six months afterwards. But it was great fun."

Ant made light of his colleague's injury, joking: "Fun times though guys, fun times."

The duo took part in a special edition of the Celebrity Cyclone challenge for the Text Santa charity.

They were raising money for charity with their attempt when Dec sustained the injury.

In the jungle, campmates have been battling out to win a spot to take on the cyclone.

Not only was a fast-track to the cyclone up for grabs, but also immunity for multiple trials too.

Oti Mabuse managed to beat Danny Jones, Maura Higgins and Coleen Rooney to secure immunity for herself.

Tulisa had been one of the most recent people to be evicted from camp, and has updated fans as to why she ''disappeared' after her exit.

Fans will have to wait and see whether the Cyclone will cause any further mischief for our campmates for this year, but Oti will definitely not be taking part.
