Jeremy Clarkson makes major change to farm leaving Kaleb Cooper 'worried for his job'

Kaleb seemingly hates the change

Kaleb Cooper has won over the British public with his down-to-Earth personality since he was first introduced to us through Clarkson's Farm, but his future on the show could well be in doubt after Jeremy Clarkson made a significant change to life on Diddly Squat Farm.

The 26-year-old already had to dismiss rumours that he'd been replaced on the most recent season of the Amazon Prime hit show, and he's certainly had some disagreements with the former Top Gear host ever since the farm first became a fixture of our TV sets back in 2021.

Amid all the drama with Clarkson opening up his new pub in season four of the show, despite all the complaints from staff about conditions there and from the public regarding the price of a roast, life has been continuing pretty much as normal for Cooper back on the farm.

But he's reportedly not too happy with Clarkson's latest decision, which will certainly impact his daily role working as a farmer there.

In his column for The Times, Clarkson revealed that he's leased a self-driving tractor as after five years he's still struggling to manage driving one, which is perhaps surprising given he probably drove every vehicle known to man during his spell on Top Gear.

He wrote: "Even though I’ve now had five years of practice, I’m still not very good at it. I miss bits. I cock up turns and corners. I hit gateposts and most years I bounce along for hours not realising that the hopper is empty and I’m busy planting nothing at all."

But while Jeremy is no doubt delighted with the few extra hours he might have to sleep with the tractor does its job of cultivating the farm, it seems Kaleb is less impressed.

Clarkson added: "Kaleb hates it. He says it’ll put him out of a job. I did point out, though, that if his contracting business had one he could turn up at someone’s farm, set it off and then go to someone else’s farm with his normal tractor and get paid twice. Double dipping. He did agree I had a point.

"But then he went into a mood again because before the AgBot could do any cultivating, he had to go into the fields and spread all the rhino and giraffe dung that we collect every so often from Cotswold Wildlife Park. And the simple fact is that he had to stop occasionally, to sleep for instance, and the AgBot didn’t. He was literally being hounded by a machine that absolutely will not stop."

So, if Kaleb does decide to follow Jeremy's advice and pick up two wages instead of one, then maybe we won't see as much of him in any prospective fifth season of Clarkson's Farm.
