I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Kelly Brook has spoken out in the past about why she chose not to have children, as well as the major effect it had on her life.
Brook’s appearance on I’m A Celeb has sparked interest in what’s gone on outside the jungle as much as what’s gone on in the actual show.
The former model’s feud with presenting duo Ant and Dec has been the focus of many viewers on social media, with Brook in the past having claimed that the pair got her fired from presenting Britain’s Got Talent after just a couple of days.
One aspect of the celebrity’s life that many fans may not be aware of, however, is the fact that the model has made a conscious choice not to have children.
Why did I’m A Celeb star Kelly Brook choose not to have children?

Brook spoke about the decision in an interview with Prima Magazine, saying that she and her husband Jeremy Parisi were ‘childless by choice’ and didn't want to be parents.
Speaking on Loose Women about her decision, she said: “It is a question that comes up always at the end of every interview… I know it’s coming. You know what, I’ll be really honest, I spent my 20s avoiding having children.
“I was very career-focused, very selfish, very travel-obsessed and just wanted to see the world and build a lovely life for myself.”
She also spoke about how her mum and grandmother had always encouraged her to live a life they weren’t able to, having both given birth young.
Brook also bravely spoke about how, in her 30s, she suffered ‘several miscarriages’, saying: "It wasn’t for lack of trying."
She revealed that she had a ‘brief conversation’ early on with her husband and stated that it was a ‘burden lifted’ when they agreed not to try and have children.
What effect has it had on her life?

Speaking about the effect it had on her life in the interview with Prima Magazine, she said: “The most difficult thing for me, not having children over the last 20 years, has been losing friends because your lives are so different.
“It’s sad in a way. I miss a lot of my old friends who have kids. To be honest, when I go for lunch and I’m watching them mother their children, I get a bit like, 'I want the attention. You’re my friends'.
“I don’t want to sit there watching people parent.”
Speaking about the irritation with being asked about it constantly, she said: “We’re not having children’ kind of closes off this conversation. I think people are shocked you can be that blunt about it, but that’s where we’re at. And we’re not saying that having children is a bad thing.
"Obviously, it’s not, but I don’t think I’m alone. A lot of women have reached out to me since I was on Loose Women talking about it and said, 'I’m the same; thank you for talking about it and thank you for being honest about it'."
