Woman whose Love Is Blind partner was jailed for attempted murder claims he contacts her from prison

A woman whose partner she met on hit show Love Is Blind was jailed for attempted murder has attempted to contact her from behind bars, it has been claimed.

Emily Ceco and Santiago Martínez met on the show and tied the knot and had initially planned to re-marry off screen in February 2025.

However Martínez was ultimately jailed for 15 years in March this year after Emily reported him over reports of gender-based violence.

He was later found guilty of attempted murder, assault and unlawful detention linked to their relationship.

Martínez and Ceco had first met during the 2024 season of Love Is Blind: Argentina, in which contestants date through a wall before deciding whether to marry without having laid eyes on one another.

But the following year, she filed a formal complaint which detailed verbal and physical abuse. She had sustained injuries that included a black eye.

The social media star went on to describe the emotions she felt in facing Martínez during the trial at court.

As per Reality Shrine, she said, “I was terrified. During his statement, he apologised and said he still loved me.

"I don’t know what will happen when he gets out, but I hope the justice system continues to protect me,”

Speaking out on a podcast six months after his sentencing, Emily claimed she believes he has tried to contact her from behind bars.

Appearing on the HISPA podcast on YouTube, she referenced an Instagram account that has followed her, which she believes belongs to her ex-partner.

“Not even the justice system can stop him. Why do you feel the need to keep abusing me?" she said.

"It happened a few days ago... when he was little they called him Nano.

"He’s a River Plate fan, and he always had a phrase that I think he said twice a day, all day he'd say 'God's timing is perfect'.

“And recently an account called Nano followed me with numbers that he had stolen from River Plate, and said, ‘God’s timing is perfect'. It had no followers, nothing. It was a new profile.

“So I say, ‘Why do you still have the need to know?' I mean, he wanted to be certain that I would know it was him behind it.

"What's still bothering you about me? Why don’t you want to find peace? Why don’t you want to move on with your life? Why do you keep wanting to hurt me?”

Speaking of his possible future release from jail, Emily continued: “I’m terrified because even though it’s still relatively recent, I do want to move on with my life.

"I would love to start a family, I would love to be a mum. I would love to achieve what I fought for, because I fought to stay alive."
