Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht respond to Meghan Markle question following show's potential return

Suits stars Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht were asked about the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.

Suits stars Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht have responded to a question about Meghan Markle following the news of a reboot.

Although the original series by Aaron Korsh ended in 2019, the show was the most-streamed series of last year, racking up more than three billion views over seven consecutive weeks.

The hit legal drama was watched for a total of 57.7 billion minutes on Netflix last year, beating The Office's previous record of 57.1 billion minutes set in 2020.

For those unaware, the USA Network show - which became available on UK Netflix - aired from 2011 to 2019 and centres around college dropout Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who begins working as a law associate for Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), despite never attending law school.

The all-star cast also includes Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane, Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen and Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt.

Now, Suits viewers will be delighted to know that spin-off series Suits: L.A. is officially in the works.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has ordered a pilot for a companion series.

The programme will reportedly follow brand new character Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor who moves his high-powered practice from New York to LA.

Suits creator Korsh is set to return to write the pilot alongside original producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Gene Klein.

The stars addressed the reboot that is reportedly in the works.

Ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday (11 February), Adams and Macht were among the big stars featured in T-Mobile's 2024 commercial, along with Laura Dern, Common, Jennifer Hudson and Bradley Cooper.

Opening up about the reboot plans, the pair admitted that 'some characters could in fact come [back'.

“The Suits-iverse as its referred to,” Adams told The Hollywood Reporter.

The duo also answered a question about Markle - who now lives in California with husband Prince Harry and their two children - as Macht said: "I have not communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that has been really nice."

“No, no communication,” Adams added, before joking that he needed to leave the set: “Oh, hold on. There she is. Oh, got to go.”

This comes after Adams said he would love to see the inside of a courtroom again alongside his cast mates - especially Markle.

Adams previously told E! News: "I think Meghan is a fantastic actress. We'd be lucky to have her back in the industry."

Discussing the prospect of a spin-off series focusing on the on-screen couple's new life, he said: "Let's go, I'd do it. I'm ready. Mike and Rachel in Seattle."
