Bombshell photo emerges proving two Traitors contestants secretly know each other

A connection between two contestants on The Traitors has been discovered by fans, supporting a popular fan theory about the fourth season.

The Traitors' return to the small screen has been met with a huge amount of interest from fans, with the season four premiere beating the record for first episodes of the show and even beating the celebrity spin-off.

So far, much of the focus of the season has been on the ‘Secret Traitor’, with Claudia having picked one contestant to act as someone unknown even to the other Traitors.

This has sparked numerous viral fan theories about who it could be, with a body language expert having (incorrectly) suspected it was Suzy.

They pointed out the fact that she was showing signs of deception; it was also revealed in the first episode that she was secretly Roxy’s mum.

So far, aside from Ross and Netty knowing each other, no one else has revealed any secret connections.

This has changed now, though, as fans have managed to find proof that Ross and Ellie know one another.

The theory that Ross and Ellie were secretly a couple, or simply knew each other, has been floating around for days on social media.

Formerly, though, the signs were a bit on the crackpot side, with online sleuths comparing pictures from Instagram of a trip both of them took and the fact that they interacted with one another on LinkedIn in the past.

This was compounded in episode two by Ross saying he ‘had a secret’.

Now, though, fans have found pictures of the two together from June of 2024, before this newest season was posted.

They found this snooping through the Instagram of the company where Ross works as a PT, discovering a picture of the two arm in arm at a ‘team outing’.

Whilst this does not quite prove that people suggesting they are a couple are correct, it does point to the ongoing theory that everyone in the castle has a secret connection with someone else.

This theory was sparked by the painting that took such a massive role in episode three of the show, a family tree with all the contestants of the show on it.

One fan tweeted after the first episode: “I think the contestants are all linked to another contestant in some way - with the family tree and the fact there’s 2 connections so far.”

Meanwhile, others have pointed out other possible connections, with some suggesting that Amanda is actually Roxy’s other mother, and one fan noting that Hugo and Rachel said ‘what are the chances’ when they saw each other in the tower.

The news was first found on Reddit (as most superfan sleuthing successes are), with one comment saying: “It’s looking more and more likely that everyone is connected to someone in the game at this rate.”

Another comment translated the Latin around the painting, saying it says ‘trust your blood’.

If that’s the case, it really is looking more likely that The Traitors has another major twist in the bag they haven’t quite revealed yet.
