Virgin Island’s Zac has broken his silence to address a bizarre comment he made which led to a session with his sex therapist ending immediately.
Zac was the subject of a number of controversial moments in the show, with the adult virgin receiving criticism for being ‘overly eager’ by fans watching.
This culminated in a session with his ‘surrogate partner’ Kat that went awry.

For those unaware of Virgin Island, 12 adult virgins are coached to overcome their barriers to intimacy by sexual therapists, who are in some cases willing to go all the way.
Going into the session Zac was visibly confident, something he admitted to in an exclusive interview with LADbible discussing the subject, even saying he may lose his virginity that session.
After the pair undress, Zac was asked by Kat to look into her eyes and speak about his honest feelings.

He replies saying: “I want to move forward… I want to touch you and be touched by you.”

Following a discussion in which she points out feeling uncomfortable with him solely talking about touch, he said: “I came in here confident and excited, and I don’t know if you’re as used to that in this line of work and I don’t know if you find that intimidating.”
Kat expressed discomfort at this, and after a short discussion tells him to put his clothes back on and she ends the session. She later confirmed in a joint therapy session on the show that him suggesting he was ‘intimidating’ was the biggest line crossed for her.
This led to a wide viewer backlash, with many slamming Zac for his actions and what he said in the session.
In an exclusive interview with LADbible, Zac spoke out about this for the first time.

When asked about the incident and what he would do differently, the adult virgin said: “I'd definitely do it differently. One of my problems with intimacy is when things start to get more serious, I do shut down.
“There is a block there that sort of prevents me from being able to connect and be in the moment. I think, yeah.”

He went on to admit that was he said was ‘awful’, saying: “I'm being asked in that moment, how do you feel? … I'm trying to grasp what's going on, but I'm just feeling confused.
"I'm just feeling like, you know, something's gone horribly wrong here, and I just don't know what.

“What came out was, you know, an attempt to try and make sense of it all I think.”
Zac went on to admit he was ‘very eager to lose his virginity’ on the show, and hadn’t fully understood the fact that ‘there is a process, there are steps’.
He went on to finally add: “I think, really I just needed to slow down a bit and try to build that connection with Kat more.”
