Do Revenge: cast, trailer and release date

Stranger Things, Game Of Thrones and Euphoria stars all appear in this new Netflix film and fans can't wait

One of the stars of Stranger Things sent the internet into a frenzy by sharing pictures from the forthcoming Do Revenge, showing them kissing a girl in the preview.

Do Revenge has already got people talking thanks to a supremely famous cast, but who is starring in the film and when is it out?

Who is in the cast of Do Revenge?

It was none other than Stranger Things star Maya Hawke who sent fans into a meltdown with a snapshot of her character kissing her co-star for the Netflix film. She shared stills from the film along with a clip of the trailer, writing “If you have nothing nice to say, DO REVENGE” and more than 1.5 million fans have liked the post. The daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke plays Robin Buckley in Stranger Things, and is now set to star as Eleanor in the dark comedy.

Joining her is Riverdale’s Camila Mendes as high schooler Drea, who seeks revenge against her ex-boyfriend played by Austin Abrams – who you will probably recognise from Euphoria. Another huge name is Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner.

Do Revenge trailer:

The film has been billed as a “subverted Hitchcockian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls” and features a stellar cast. Others have described it as a ‘Heathers-esque’ comedy with plenty of representation.

The trailer has sent fans feral already, you can watch it below:

When is Do Revenge coming out?

You haven’t got long to wait for the film, as it will arrive on Netflix on September 16th. It emerged that filming relocated to Atlanta just so that Maya could star in the film while she was also working on Stranger Things.

Writer and Director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson said: It had to be Maya,” Robinson said. “They were so perfect that we legit moved the production, because if we waited for Maya after ‘Stranger Things,’ we would’ve lost Cami [Mendes]. And if we had Cami in L.A., we wouldn’t have Maya. I was like, ‘Nope, it has to be both of them.’ So we moved the whole movie six weeks before production.”
