Ronnie O'Sullivan Takes A Hilarious Fall When Trying Snooker In Virtual Reality

He's well and truly snookered himself.

If I were to ask you to name a snooker player, you would probably reply with Ronnie O'Sullivan. With that in mind, it's good that he's currently going viral for a mishap, rather than Scott Donaldson, who you presumably don't know.

The Rocket was recently trying out the new craze of virtual reality, having a go in VR at the sport he's dominated for so long.

Now, if you've ever seen Ronnie away from the table then you'll know that he's up for a laugh, but also that he isn't necessarily the straightest cue on the rack. Keep that in your head when you see the 40-year-old attempt to lean on a virtual snooker table, which, of course, isn't actually there.

Snooker has never really been a dangerous sport, unless you're in a bar in the Bronx in the 1990s (and even then it was probably technically pool), but throw VR into the mix and there are instant problems.

Maybe leaning on the table and missing has happened to a cue touter in the past, but it's a lot funnier to watch the former number one in the world stacking it.

Let's just have loads of people trying out virtual reality, please. Get Lewis Hamilton to try and get into his car. David Haye could box a VR opponent (which may be harder than some of his recent rivals). Maybe put a headset on Donald Trump so he gets the impression people are paying attention to him.
