Bedroom kink men still haven't figured out that 'millions of women' are into

It's one thing that most men still haven't twigged

When it comes to things which get one's engine revving in the bedroom, so to speak, there is no shortage of quirks and kinks out there.

Despite this, it seems that most men still don't get one specific kink that women like in the bedroom, despite it being a quite common one.

To be clear, we are talking about straight men here, so the LGBTQ+ folks can sit this one out.

Kink doesn't always involve being suspended from the ceiling in elaborately tied ropes that rival the rigging of an 18th century warship, or employing riding crops, ostrich feathers, and hot wax for consensually nefarious purposes (so I've been told).

In fact, there's one very simple kink that a lot of men are missing that is very common among women...

The fetish is the Praise Kink - when you enjoy being told you're doing a good job with a sense of satisfaction a little stronger than just the feeling of a job well done.

This might be during sex, complimenting someone's proficiency at a particular activity, or their appearance.

It can even be part of a consensual power dynamic, for example with the one receiving the praise being either dominant and 'worshipped', or a submissive role with them being validated by the dominant partner's approval and praise.

Though it doesn't have to go that far, of course. Sex professor Dr Nicole K McNichols explained that the kink doesn't even require touching.

McNichols explained on TikTok: "People who have praise kinks get turned on by their partner complimenting them during sex.

"Praise kink exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn't love being told that they're beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?"

It needn't even be in an explicitly sexual setting to count either.

In addition to being a feature in more private spaces, the kink has even taken off online.

One person wrote in the comments of a video on social media explaining the kink: “I can assure you that most romance book girls would likely have this kink!”

Another confirmed: “I told him. He does it more now. Best day ever!”

One woman shared a screen recording of a multiplayer game, with her partner online praising her when she did well at the game.

Alongside the footage, she wrote: "This guy was feeding my praise kink all game without even knowing it."

Another TikToker said: "So I've been seeing that it's been trending on TikTok that... a lot of girls are realising that they have a praise kink.

"Just to let you know, if you have a praise kink, you probably have words of affirmation in your top two love languages."

So, next time you're lucky enough to get down, be sure to be complimentary to your partner, because there's a good chance they'll like it.
