Bride gets her own back by reading cheating texts out at wedding instead of vows

She was left heartbroken after finding out her husband-to-be had been unfaithful and decided to get her own back

A bride-to-be says she ruined her own big day after finding out her fiancé had been having an affair the night before her wedding.

While most couples set to get hitched will be hoping and praying that their special day goes smoothly - this bride-to-be decided to destroy her nuptials by reading out the messages her fella had been sending to another woman. Ouch.

Writing under the pseudonym Casey for Body and Soul, she revealed that she and her intended Alex - also not his real name - had been together for more than six years and were set to tie the knot surrounded by friends and family.

However, her hopes and dreams of a perfect day were shattered just hours before when she received a text message telling her that Alex had been seeing someone else.

Casey was sent a slew of screenshots of conversations between Alex and a woman she didn’t know, including selfies and declarations of his feelings towards her, with an accompanying message that read: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”

“The texts were dated from months to only days before,” Casey wrote. “My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew.”

One such message from Alex read: “This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.”

Another said: “Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”

Casey shared the messages with her bridesmaids who reacted angrily and suggested she call the wedding off.

However, Casey decided to go ahead with the ceremony - sort of.

“I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family,” she wrote.

And that’s what she did - the following morning, she got up and got ready, as though the wedding was still on, and headed to the ceremony where an unsuspecting Alex was waiting.

The bride decided to arrive at her ceremony and share the message with their guests.

After walking up the aisle to Alex, she announced: “There will be no wedding today. It seems Alex is not who I thought he was.”

As the shocked guests looked on, Casey took out her phone and ‘read every single message’ the woman had sent her - before telling her horrified friends and family: “I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here.

"There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”

Well that's one wedding those guests are unlikely to forget.
