We’ve all enjoyed the ice-cold, instantly iconic taste of a can of Suntory -196. Whether it’s at a rooftop bar with mates, or chilling by the BBQ, its taste has become a staple for many Aussies.
Of course, Suntory -196 came to life in Japan in 2005, where it made a huge splash before making its way to Australia in 2021. Now available in flavours of Double Lemon, Double Grape and Double Peach, there’s a -196 for everyone.
Now, we all know its taste, but… how did it gets its name?
How many times have you walked past -196 at the store, seen the iconic can, and wondered why is it called that’?
Well, we’ve teamed up with Suntory -196 to get your wildest guesses. And we mean wild. We want out-of-this-world, hilarious, insane, and just straight batsh*t guesses as to how -196 got its name.
