Man took Mounjaro weight loss drug for three months and shared 'astounding' impact

He purchased the weight-loss drug online after reaching his 'wit's end'

A man who started using medication for weight loss three months ago shared the ‘astounding’ impact.

Gordon took to YouTube to update his thousands of subscribers after he started using Mounjaro because he was at his ‘wit’s end’.

He says he has spent well over a decade trying to ‘get control’ of his weight, hitting an ‘all-time high’ during the pandemic at just over 23 stone.

Towards the end of last year, he came across ‘appetite suppressant drugs’ and eventually found a supplier for Mounjaro in the UK.

The medicine (also called Tirzepatide) makes people feel fuller for longer and, therefore, fuller for longer. It began to made available from March this year on the NHS as a weight loss injection for people with obesity and related health conditions.

Gordon, who goes by ‘Fat Old Climber’ online, paid for the injections, and said while the effect ‘wasn’t immediate’ the next day ‘everything changed’.

“I found within one day my focus on eating had gone,” he said. “I wasn’t hungry when I would normally have been hungry I wasn’t thinking about food all the time.”

He says it didn’t only ‘work quickly but it worked well’, as he lost nine pounds in the first week and seven in the second.

Gordon says his mindset shifted to thinking ‘about food as fuel’ and made sure to still give his body ‘nutrients’ and energy. But very different to before, he now basically doesn’t ‘snack’ at all.

While he acknowledges there can be ‘a lot of side effects’, he says he hasn’t experienced any ‘major’ ones.

He explains that he finds his mouth gets ‘quite dry’ on the day of the injection and when he upped the dose he noticed he got ‘constipated quite a lot’.

Gordon said that in the three months since he began using Mounjaro, he lost ‘an incredible 45lbs’ which he says is ’15 percent’ of his body weight.

“I’ve lost seven-and-a-half inches around my waist,” he added.

But he says the most amazing part is not that it’s worked as he’s lost weight before, ‘it’s how easy it’s been for it to work’.

“I’m not having to work on it,” he explained, “if anything, I’m having to focus on eating to make sure I have energy.”

As it was his main goal, Gordon says the difference losing weight has made to his climbing ‘is incredible’, as it’s ‘dramatically impacted his ability’.

“I also feel better generally,” he said, pointing out that previous pains have reduced and his blood pressure has reduced.

Bare in mind that you should speak to a health care professional before trying medications like Mounjaro.
