A man has shared the six positive changes he noticed after kicking a decade-long smoking and vaping habit.
While it's widely accepted that smoking is bad for you, regardless of your age or overall health, research on vaping is currently ongoing.
Current NHS guidelines state that vaping isn't as harmful as smoking and can be a useful tool for smokers to cut down on their nicotine consumption. However, this doesn't mean that vaping is necessarily good for you, with recent studies highlighting how e-cigarettes can cause numerous health issues in young people and those who've never smoked before.
So if you're looking for a reason to kick the habit, then it might be worth listening to the experiences of people who've found their health improving after stopping vaping.

One example of this is UK-based rapper and content creator Fin-E (@fin_emusic), who recently shared all the health improvements he'd noticed after stopping vaping.
Explaining that he'd initially taken up smoking a decade ago before switching to the fruity-flavoured e-cigarettes, Fin explained that he recently passed the six-month smoke-free mark and wanted to share all the positive changes he'd noticed.
No more sore throat
The first difference Fin noticed was that he was no longer dealing with a sore throat, saying it was the 'best thing' he'd noticed.
"I always used to get a sore throat since switching flavours or different types of e-cigs," he explained. "If you're quite vocal, singing, rapping as I do, then you need your voice. Why are you messing it up with that chemical."
Better sleep quality
The next improvement Fin noticed was the quality of shut-eye got each evening, noting that he could finally wake up 'feeling good'.
"Everyone's going to benefit from that, but for me, buzzing," he said.
More energy
When you're getting better-quality sleep, having more energy throughout the day isn't a surprise, with Fin noting that he no longer feels as 'sluggish' as he used to when vaping.
Less anxiety
"[As] someone who suffers with that, I find I was picking it up all the time and relying on that to kind of 'cure' [my] anxiety," he said. "You think you are [curing it], but really, it's actually making it worse.
"Now I don't vape, I can honestly say, I don't have that much anxiety."
Lungs clearing out
Revealing that he'd clocked the changes to his lungs within the first few days of kicking the habit, Fin explained that the change wasn't surprising.
"Think about it, you're not supposed to have that sweet chemical on the back of your throat and in your lungs; it's not supposed to be in there," he said.
"Don't have that now, lovely."
Overall health
"I've felt so much better in myself day-to-day since stopping," he concluded. "Not only that, but I've felt mentally strong too. I've been around people vaping, I've had a drink, and I haven't let myself go... I'm free from it now, and it's mint.
"If you're thinking of stopping, it's the best thing in the world."

Advice for other people looking to stop
Struggling to kick the habit and looking for a bit of extra motivation? Fin revealed that for him, learning that it only takes three days for nicotine to leave your system after quitting vaping or smoking – a fact which is backed up by science, as the NHS says that withdrawal symptoms typically peak within the first three days after quitting.
