The man responsible for chucking a GoPro into the sea to see what lurked below the surface has opened up on how he managed to film it all.
Obviously, if you find yourself on a cruise ship and you happen to have a GoPro, you probably wouldn't think about throwing it overboard.
But one YouTuber let his imagination get the better of him and managed to capture some fairly interesting marine life.
This isn't the first time someone has dropped these waterproof cameras into the depths of the ocean though, as social media users have seen sharks making their way around in previous videos, or even heard eerie noises coming from the depths.

But for Odysseas Froilan, his concern was around what was below his docked cruise ship back in 2021.

He managed to throw together a seven-minute clip where he caught the glimpse of numerous schools of fish and even some barracudas.
Odysseas topped it all off by treating his 10,700+ subscribers to the sight of sharks in his night time footage, but how did he manage to capture so much?
The content creator took to the comments section of the popular video to reply to some questions about how he filmed it, as one asked about the equipment he used to 'keep the camera steady and upright while dropping from above'.
"This footage was taken on a GoPro 8 Black. The housing was connected to a fishing line and the original video was upside down," he admitted.

"Custom rudderlike stabilizers were added on both sides of the housing. Without them, the camera was spinning endlessly due to water stream and tension from the fishing line," the YouTuber revealed.
Another fan commented: "Beautiful footage! I'd love to nerd out and hear about the settings used and where in the world you were to get such gorgeous ocean conditions."
Opening up about how he made sure he captured such clear footage, he mentioned the GoPro case and 'simple stabilisers' to stop the camera from rolling around, while 'waiting for a day with no wind and current'.
Odysseas again acknowledged the use of a fishing line, explaining: "I could check the footage only once I was bringing the camera up again. We were at the Bahamas Sea during Covid lockdown so the ship was on anchorage (sic) for a long time."
"That allowed the sand to settle and get these clear images and allow the fish to be attracted by the shadow of the ship, and the food that the anchor chain was providing by moving the sand," he revealed.
The night time footage he captured left viewers 'terrified', as several sharks could be seen moving at quick speeds below the ship.
While none of the sea predators attacked the camera or got violent, users said that the video was 'more interesting' than they'd thought.
