British Transport Police Shut Down 'Fully Fledged Rave' On London Underground

Decent.

There are many problems with regular commutes on trains and buses.

Firstly, the smell. You'll have to go a long way to find a mode of public transport that compliments your nostrils. The same goes for the eyes; it's very rare that anything on a train is pleasant on the retinas.

Oh, and of course, there isn't enough strobe lights, disco balls and drum and bass, really.

Sure, it's an inconvenience if you're on your way home from work and all you want to do is put your feet up with a brew, but for the select few who love a good rave, it's great.

MC Harry Shotta set out to please those select few, temporarily turning the London Underground into a rave.

"Real live drum 'n' bass on the Underground right now," he says in a video that was uploaded to YouTube.

Some people were less than impressed, but British Transport Police managed to sort out the commotion.

"At 10.40pm yesterday evening, BTP officers were called to the northbound Bakerloo platform at Paddington station after reports of a party on board a Tube," a BTP spokesperson told LADbible in a statement. "Officers attended and spoke with a man who agreed to turn off the speakers and the light systems, they then left the station.

"Whilst officers relish any opportunity to experience underground drum and bass, we'd kindly ask DJs to refrain from using the Tube as a pop up club. It may be the Easter Holiday but there is a time and a place and we'd ask everyone to consider other passengers using the network."

Yeah. Seems fair enough.

The clip was made by MC Harry Shotta and notorious pranksters Troll Station, who did it basically to see how far they could take it.

"Put a full sound & light system on the London Underground tonight it looked mental featuring a very well known DnB MC," DiscoBoy said on Twitter prior to the incident.

Harry Shotta is an award winning MC, and is in the Guinness Book Of World Records for most words in a track, eclipsing Eminem's 1560 in 'Rap God', with 1771 in 'Animal'.

"I've got to give full credit to Jarvo from Troll Station. He came up with the idea and the concept of pulling off a fully fledged DnB rave on the London Underground," Shotta told LADbible.

"I've known of him for years as we're from the same area. I bumped into him in the local gym, he asked me if I would be up for it and I thought it would be sick so agreed straight away.As for the whole thing being nipped in the bud, that was pretty accepted. It was fun while it lasted, though.

"I guessed at some point there would be a complaint or they would get wind of it but all the commuters were loving it," Shotta said. "They didn't want it to stop. It's nice to see people randomly jumping on the tube and just embracing Drum N Bass. The vibes were wicked!

"To be honest the British Transport Police were pretty cool about the whole thing, I think they saw the funny side. Maybe if there's a next time we can them on the mic to spit some bars."

So, tell us about your commute?
