A weatherman in Canada was upstaged when his pet dog interrupted his live report - wandering on set in search of some 'treats', with the green screen effect giving the illusion that he was 'walking on thin air'. Watch the footage here:
Global News Meteorologist Anthony Farnell was updating Canadians on the weather conditions in Toronto and the dangers of Hurricane Ida when his goldendoodle sauntered over to join him.

The pooch, who is called Storm the Weather Dog and even has his own Facebook page, could be seen shuffling into view as Farnell tried to continue presenting, clearly either unaware or unbothered that he was interrupting a live broadcast.
At one point, Farnell moved aside so that graphics on the screen could show the current temperatures in Toronto, leaving Storm standing by himself in the centre - seemingly floating.
He then tries in vain to shoo his pooch away, laughing: "Storm, move!"

Later in the segment, Farnell appears to simply accept the fact that he's having to share the screen with his four-legged co-host, sighing: "Yes, Storm is in the building getting some treats."
The full clip was posted on Global News' YouTube Feed, saying: "Last Friday, a hungry-for-treats Storm invaded the set in the middle of Anthony's weather report, demanding treats even as Farnell was explaining to Ontarians what weather they would be facing that weekend, and discussed the dangers posed by Hurricane Ida further south.

"Both consummate professionals, Anthony finished his segment without a hitch while Storm sated his hunger (and mugged a bit for the camera)... all in a day's work!"
The footage has also been shared far and wide on TikTok and Twitter, including one post that has more than 10,000 likes and 3 million views.
Luckily, Farnell was able to remain professional and powered through to finish his report without a problem - which probably has something to do with the fact that he's used to it now.

Yep, Storm has previously hit headlines for doing precisely the same thing, including in 2012 when he jumped up behind anchor Leslie Roberts, and then in 2013 when he turned up during a photo slideshow, with Farnell and Roberts trying desperately to get him off set.
And another weatherman in the States had a similar problem when his golden retriever nudged his way into the broadcast.
Fox News 13-Tampa Bay's chief meteorologist Paul Dellegatto was in the middle of explaining how the temperatures were going to track over the next few days when his pet dog Brody hit his head on the device that helped the forecast animations work.
"That wasn't quite smart," Dellegatto said to Brody during the live broadcast.
