Over the weekend, rapper Kanye West sat down for The Joe Rogan Experience to chat with the host about everything from his presidential aspirations, to his faith and a number of other topics of importance to the controversial star - including the revelation that he would be running again in 2024.

Amid the three-hour discussion, which was mostly dominated by Kanye, the 'Famous' hitmaker revealed he first decided he would run for president after having an epiphany in the shower several years ago.

"It was something that God put in my heart back in 2015. A few days before the MTV awards it hit me in the shower," West shared. "When I first thought of it, I just started laughing to myself and all this joy came over my body, through my soul."

"There couldn't be a better time to put a visionary in the captain's chair," he told host Joe Rogan. "I'm not here to down Trump or down Biden, I'm just here to express why God has called me to take this position. I'm a great leader because I listen and I'm empathetic. I do believe in world peace."

He revealed that he remains positive he will one day take on the role of US president, telling Joe Rogan that he would be running again in 2024.

"I'm definitely 100% winning in 2024," he said. "I was thinking I would possibly be the Democrat."

Kanye added that upon announcing his decision to enter the political realm, famed talk show host Oprah Winfrey had tried to dissuade him from running as a presidential candidate.

"I remember running into Oprah... and she's like you don't want to be president," Yeezy began.

"One of the things Oprah said is she said, 'you got to bone up on your foreign affairs.' I remember this, because it's Oprah talking, so I'm gonna remember a lot of what the conversation was, but that's the first thing she said was foreign affairs and foreign policies."

Among other interesting tidbits within the three-hour interview include Ye's declaration that Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Prince and Bruce and Brandon Lee had been murdered, among other claims.
