Hollywood actor James Handy's alleged killer appears in doorbell camera footage just moments after the brutal stabbing in Tarzana, California.
Boasting credits in Tom Cruise's billion-dollar sequel Top Gun: Maverick, as well as The X Files, Jumanji, Unbreakable, Logan and The West Wing, Handy was pronounced dead on Wednesday (June 3) after the attack.
Police officers initially discovered the 81-year-old unconscious in his front yard on Erwin Street before he rushed off to hospital. He'd suffered a stab wound in the chest.
Now, CCTV tapes have been obtained by Fox 11 Los Angeles and show the suspect, Michael Gledhill, strolling down the pavement with bloodstained clothes visible in the background.

Gledhill, the son of Handy's girlfriend, then returned to the property after altering the authorities via 911; flagging down first responders informing them that he was the one they were looking for.

"I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin," Gledhill reportedly told the LAPD in the wake of this horrific incident.
The suspect's motive remains unclear for now, but neighbours have since claimed that Gledhill and Handy had been arguing the night prior.
Speaking to Fox 11, one resident believed Gledhill was suffering from delusions in recent times. He is currently being held at Van Nuys community jail on a £1.49 million bail.
When the news of Handy's death reached the ears of Scott Alan Smith, a professor of Performing Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design, he recalled directing the late actor back in 2018 at the Road Theater Company.
"Jim was not only a truly great actor, he was also a prince of a man - kind and generous and giving to his cast and audience," read his tribute on Facebook.
Meanwhile, former co-star Nancy Lipner also honoured the man with an online post, recounting how Handy was once cast as her father in a New York play.
"He was only two or three years older than I, but somehow he brought it off, in large part because he was a terrific character actor and even though, as he told me, not particularly at home in anything resembling classic theatre," she shared.
"I was so glad for how his career took off after The Verdict," Lipner continued, while mentioning that she hadn't spoken directly to Handy in years but would often check his IMDb page just to see how he was doing.
"This is just awful."
