In order to rival McDonald's and Hungry Jacks’ renowned and extensive offering of traditional burgers, Domino’s has expanded its menu to include a line of burgers in the form of pizzas.

The Burger Joint Pizza Range is made up of options such as cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, bacon hamburger, and hamburger, which are all comprised of 100 per cent Australian beef, American cheese, butter pickles, and their own special burger sauce.

The introduction of the new range comes at a time of loss for the Domino’s corporation, with their net profit falling by 5.3 percent earlier this year.

Their shares similarly slipped by 14 percent to $86.13 (£49.81).

Additionally, the recently introduced delivery fee has potentially, according to Citi analysts, put consumers off when opting for home delivery, subsequently putting a large proportion of Domino’s customer earnings at risk.

Domino’s culinary innovation and development chef, Michael Treacy, called the new Burger Joint range a 'whole new burger experience'.

Hopefully the delicious new culmination will battle rising ingredient prices and delivery fees by giving the drunk late-night crowd a meal to cling onto.

A large Burger Joint Cheeseburger is expected to cost $10.95 (£6.33) while the large hamburger option will set consumers back $18.95 (£10.96).

The pizzas are now available for pick up and delivery via the Domino’s App, so if you’re eager, get your hands on a slice before the novelty wears off.
