Ben Francis is the CEO of the British sportswear company Gymshark, which he founded when he was just 19 years-old in 2012. In 2018 he appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and has been awarded the EY UK Entrepreneur of the Year.
With his company proving to be one of the leading brands within the sportswear space, people are wondering what the owner’s net worth is in 2022?
What is Ben Francis’ Net Worth?
With a stake of over 70% in Gymshark, Francis’ estimated net worth, according to The Telegraph, is somewhere in the region of £700 million.
The sportswear company itself is said to be valued at £1.2 billion according to Francis’ own Youtube channel in 2020, and we can only imagine astronomical growth since then.
The company started out by selling supplements, but branched out in 2013 when Francis began designing and selling fitness apparel on the company website.
Francis studied international business and management at Aston University in Birmingham, whilst delivering pizzas for Pizza Hut which paid him just £5 an hour. He quit university and his pizza delivery role when a Gymshark tracksuit went viral on Facebook, and generated £30,000 sales in just half an hour.
It is without question that the parallel rise of social media marketing and his company contributed to the billion dollar success it is today, with an audience outreach of over 20 million and several popular athletes and ambassadors promoting the company every day.
Ben was recently a guest on Steven Bartlett’s podcast, The Diary of a CEO, where he talked about his inspirations behind starting the company, his advice for young entrepreneurs, and how it feels to be behind one of the fastest growing companies in the UK.
Francis is also married to fitness influencer, Robin Gallant, who he met when reaching out to her asking to promote Gymshark. The two now live together and divide their time between the Cotswolds and Birmingham.
