A father has hit back at claims that he's 'cheating' and 'taking the easy way out' by going on Mounjaro for weight loss.
Before taking the GLP-1 drug, George Keywood was necking five cans of Coca-Cola everyday, while devouring entire pizzas and garlic bread for dinner.
The 31-year-old has since lost six stone over the course of 11 months, despite comments from those on social media calling him 'lazy' while accusing him of 'cheating'.
He started taking the medication after becoming pre-diabetic and struggling to walk upstairs, as he was offered Mounjaro from a private online pharmacy for free.
With his cravings now out of the picture, George only eats one meal a day, while the cost of his food shop has dropped significantly since cutting junk food out of his diet.
The Brit claimed that 'people love to judge' his size, especially when they see him with his wife Sienna, who is also a content creator.
Sienna first met George after seeing him play Craig on hit BBC show People Just Do Nothing.
Admitting that 'you can't win', George explained: "There’s still a lot of negativity [online] with people saying I’m taking the easy way out or cheating, or, ‘Oh just go to the gym and be a real man’.
"I’m doing this for me, not them. There’s been a lot of support too."
He went on: "I did a post on Facebook recently and all the comments were positive.
"For me personally where I’m at, if I was to lose another 40kg I feel like we’d be at normal levels at that point."
George plans to be on Mounjaro for an additional nine months, admitting that the maximum amount of time he wants to be on the medication is two years.
George has been taking Mounjaro for almost a year (SWNS) He added: "For me personally I would love to make it to 70 or 80 years old, I’d love to see son grow up."
Starting on a 2.5mg dose of Mounjaro, George has now worked his way up to doses of 12.5mg.
"My feet used to be so swollen I couldn’t wear shoes, and now they’re completely uninflamed and completely fine now," the dad shared.
Almost 40kg lighter than he was when he started, George admitted that he doesn't think about food for 'about five out of the seven days'.
Now on just one Coca-Cola a day and without having a tub of ice cream and a pizza a night, George is pleased with his progress.
Sienna has also noticed the big shift, explaining: "I barely ever see him eating to be honest, on holidays the difference I noticed is he can walk all day."
George is now visibly happier and more mobile following his weight loss (SWNS) While they used to get taxis everywhere due to his weight, she also pointed out that George now does more with their five-year-old son following the weight loss.
"It’s like the tables have turned. He’s just really motivated and I’m really proud of him," Sienna said.
"He’s made the decision to do this for his health and it’s really benefitted me and my son."
