Man took partner of 21 years to swingers party and ended up overdosing on Viagra

Do not exceed the recommended dosage

A man ended up thinking he was going to die after overdosing on Viagra at a swingers party when he thought the little blue pill he'd taken wasn't working and decided to try more.

There's a reason they tell you not to exceed the recommended dosage as you can suffer some significant health impacts from popping too many of the pills.

The NHS says you shouldn't take tablets which help with erectile dysfunction more than once a day as it could cause your erect dingle to become extremely painful and taking too much could also mess with your blood pressure and heart health.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner went deaf in one ear due to taking too much Viagra, so it's best that if you need to take one you should leave it at one and do what the packet says.

Ben Barr ended up having a bad time when he took several doses of Viagra in quick succession at a swingers party he was attending with his partner.

Speaking to The Sun, the bloke said that 18 years into his marriage with wife Amy they watched an episode of Open House: The Great Sex Experiment on Channel 4 which made them curious about exploring non-monogamy.

They decided to dip their toes into the world of swinging where they tried an adults only cruise before taking the plunge and joining an adult club, but on their first visit Ben got a spot of performance anxiety.

On a return visit to the club he came prepared with a pack of Viagra, but at a Christmas party for swingers in 2023 he popped one of the pills and... nothing.

Deciding to take more to see if that'd help him rise to the occasion, Ben found little success and ended up consuming six Viagra pills in total with no apparent impact.

At least at first.

They finally kicked in, and kicked hard, when the couple were back in their hotel as he described an excruciating series of side effects which sound like they'd be best avoided.

Ben said he got heart palpitations, his body spasmed and he got a terrible headache which left him 'feeling dreadful - I honestly thought I would die'.

Fortunately he didn't, but Ben decided to ride out the terrible feelings for a couple of hours while he panicked about whether he was going to be killed by overdosing on Viagra.

He's a lot more careful now.

The NHS says if you take too much you can also end up feeling nauseous and dizzy from overdosing, so always read the label.
