Young people on TikTok are using makeup to create dark, under-eye circles because it apparently looks 'cool'.

It's previously never been a good sight when you look in the mirror to see bags under your eyes after a particularly big weekend or a restless night of sleep.

Some people use makeup to cover this appearance, however a load of others are not only embracing the under-eye circle but also artificially creating it.

There are videos that have been popping up on TikTok throughout this year that show how a variety of makeup products, from lip stick to concealer, can be used to give you that classic 'good lord I need to be back in bed' look.

Sara Carstens was one of the first people to be seen doing it on the social media app and people were absolutely floored that this type of look is now 'on trend'.

One person wrote on Sara's video: "So you're telling me that my biggest insecurity that I've tried to hide for years is now attractive? I just - I'm happy."

Another said: "I have awful eye bags. I've always been insecure about them. If people make them a trend I'll be flattered, not offended whatsoever.'

A third added: "Just found out that people on TikTok are using makeup to give themselves undereye bags... The trends are finally working in my favour."

Sara explained how she wanted to embrace her natural under-eye circles by amplifying them more.

She believed that it would hopefully change people's perspective of the look.

"I have them genetically and they were always very intense," the influencer said to TMRW.

"The first makeup product I picked up was concealer. Later I realized that it's nothing to be ashamed of and they can actually look pretty cool, so I decided to embrace them and include them in a few of my makeup looks.

"A lot of people have struggled/still struggle with their dark eye bags/circles and now we finally see the aesthetic and beauty in them."

So, there you have it people, if you don't like something about your appearance and embrace it, it could end up being trendy.

Let's make bed hair the next big one so that I don't have to brush it everyday.
