Promotion company behind Raja Jackson's fight speak out after alleged brutal beating

Raja Jackson was seemingly seeking revenge before launching the brutal attack

The promotion company behind Raja Jackson's fight has spoken out following the brutal attack which was caught on camera.

The 25-year-old MMA fighter was due to confront Syko Stu at the event in Los Angeles over the weekend in a staged face off, but things quickly got out of hand, with the latter hospitalised following an array of devastating punches which seemingly left him unconscious.

Smith had hit Jackson with a beer can shortly before the fight - seemingly to create a storyline as is common in wrestling - and it seemed as if they had made up after shaking hands and sharing apologies.

But then the son of the former UFC champion was advised to 'give him his receipt', a wrestling term about getting your own back on someone who got you.

"As long as I get my lick back, I'm straight," Jackson said on the live stream, he also said: "They told me to hit him and just leave, someone will pull me off of him and we'll leave. I'm telling you I'm gonna hit him as many times as I can, watch."

As viewers of his Kick livestream saw, Jackson entered the ring and slammed Smith's head onto the floor before launching a brutal beating of punches, which only stopped when several other wrestlers stepped in, with the stream continuing even in the aftermath of the attack.

Police are now investigating the attack, while Raja's father Quinton has also spoken out to condemn his son's actions.

He said: "Raja is an MMA fighter, not a pro wrestler, and had no business involved in an event like this. I don't condone my son's actions at all.

"As a father, I'm deeply concerned with his health and the wellbeing of Mr Smith. I'm very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr Smith will make a speedy recovery."

And now, promotion company KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, which organised the event in Los Angeles, has also issued an update on the alarming actions of Jackson.

A representative of the company wrote: “First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with our brother Mr. Stuart Smith (Syko Stu) as he remains a priority and we are monitoring his well being.

"What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith.

“This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred. In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologise to our patrons and fans.”

Although the wellbeing of Smith has not yet been officially confirmed, pro wrestler 'The Epic', who fought Jackson off Smith, shared an update on Reddit.

“Stu is ok. I’m not lying,” he wrote. “Just a situation that got out of control. I thought maybe he’d come in do a slam and maybe some working stuff. Then he went all out.

"I ran in when I realised what was going on from across the place. When I pulled him off I just said ‘Calm down’ and was just separating him, then he shot a double on me and the rest happened.

“Not happy. Not proud. I think it was a bad situation and people need to learn how small moments can alter a life forever.”

He told USA Today Smith was awake and talking yesterday, though he had suffered broken bones in his face and lost a lot of teeth.

LADbible has contacted Raja Jackson for comment.
