Footage showing a phone call made by MMA fighter Raja Jackson after he appeared to punch another wrestler unconscious has emerged online.
Jackson - the son of UFC star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson - went viral after he was filmed seemingly assaulting fighter Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, at an event hosted by Knokx Pro Wrestling on Saturday night (23 August).
In the horrifying footage, which had been live-streamed on Kick, the 25-year-old is seen climbing into the ring and lifting Smith above his head, before dropping the other wrestler into the mat.

Jackson then jumps on top of Smith, who appears to be unconscious, and begins to punch him in the head repeatedly, before other other contestants intervene and pull him away.

Jackson has since been widely condemned for his behaviour online, prompting his father to issue a statement apologising on his behalf, while others have attempted to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the attack.
According to Fightful reporter Sean Ross Sapp, it was planned for Jackson to enter the ring and confront Smith in response to a previous clash between the pair.
However the actual fight ended up being a lot more serious.

This sequence of events is also supported by a video - part of the Kick livestream - which shows Jackson speaking on the phone after the incident, where he is told that he was only supposed to perform a double-leg takedown on Smith.
In the clip a man named 'Andre' explains that he was only meant to perform the takedown and not start punching him, to which Jackson replies: "He just p****d me off."
The man on the phone then explains that people struggled to wake Smith up, using the phrase 'flatlined', to which Jackson responds: "My bad."
"You didn't have to do all that s**t," the man continues. A tense looking Jackson then hangs up moments before the video clip ends.
Jackson is yet to speak publicly about the incident, however his father did reveal that his son had suffered a concussion and shouldn't have been anywhere near the ring.
"I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, I'm deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith," he wrote.

"That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologise on his behalf and to KICK for the situation."
He also stressed he'd received confirmation that Smith is 'awake and stable'.
