The brother of a wrestler who was struck in the head repeatedly by the son of a former UFC fighter has shared an update on how he's doing.
Raja Jackson, son of Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, entered the ring at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in California on Saturday (23 August), where he dropped Stuart 'Syko Stu' Smith onto the ground and then started punching him in the head.
Blow after blow rained down on Smith's head as he lay on the canvas, and the live stream of the event showed other wrestlers rushing into the ring to restrain Jackson in an effort to stop him from beating the prone man.

Police have confirmed to The New York Times that they are investigating the matter but have not yet commented further, while Smith was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Andrew Smith, Stuart's brother, has shared an update on his condition, thanking people for their messages and warning them not to be misled by fake GoFundMe pages.

"Thank you everyone for your prayers, concerns, and kind words for my brother Stu. Please continue to keep him in your prayers,"
"He’s currently stable but in critical care. At this time, we’re focused on his recovery and appreciate all the support.

Andrew isn't the only one to comment on the attack on his brother, as a representative of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy said their thoughts were with Syko Stu and they were 'monitoring his well being'.
They hit out at how 'what was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot' became a 'selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr Smith'.
The wrestling promoters called it 'reprehensible' and insisted that in 17 years in the business 'there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this' as they issued an apology to fans.
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson said his son 'was told that he could get his “payback” in the ring' after an earlier incident where Smith threw a beer can at Raja's head, and things went wrong from there.
Saying he didn't condone his son's actions, Jackson senior said Raja 'had no business involved in an event like this'.

A phone call Raja Jackson made afterwards had him saying Smith 'just p***ed me off' when a man confronted him on how he was only supposed to take down the wrestler and not keep punching him in the head.
LADbible Group has previously contacted the LAPD and Raja Jackson for comment.
