Pregnant Man, Drama Eyes And 'I'm Melting' Among More Than 100 New Emojis Coming This Year

The world will soon be blessed with more than 100 new emojis to use until your heart's content.

Emoji 14.0 is set to be rolled out later this year and will include a bunch of diversity options and some new surprises.

Among them will be a pregnant man and pregnant person in various skin tones, along with some dramatic reactionary faces.

According to Emojipedia, the rollout for 14.0 is scheduled for September this year, however the full rollout isn't expected until later in 2021 or early 2022.

The emojis are also subject to change between now and then as this new list is simply a draft.

Unsurprisingly, the pregnant man emoji has attracted quite a lot of attention.

One person wrote in reaction to the emoji: "Hello, World. We now can select our favorite Pregnant man emoji. What the living holy hell is this all about?"

Another added: "I want biting lip, pregnant man, peeking through hand, and :/ sooooo bad."

A third said: "I am not the only one who noticed the pregnant man emoji LMAFOOO."

However, this could have more interpretations than just the idea of a man pregnant with a baby.

You might want to use it to mean gaining a few extra kilos during lockdown, or that you've just polished off a meal so big that you have a food baby.

You could be pregnant with emotion or just expressing that you're a dad.

We'll be getting an 'I'm Melting' face, the 'This Is So Scary or Dramatic I Can't Look', the 'Omg You Didn't Just Say That' face, a saluting face, a more realistic crying eyes one and the 'Are You Sure You Want To Do That?' face.

Those aren't the official names for the emojis (which can be found here), but that's the fun translation of them.

There will also be a biting lip emoji for all those sexually suggestive times, a troll, loads of variations and skin tones of hands, spilt water, a finger pointing at the user, a nest with eggs in it and some other random inclusions.

Get excited for the next generation of emojis because no doubt you'll be seeing them everywhere in no time.
