People living in Australia know that creepy crawlies can be found in the most unfortunate of places.
Whether they're lurking in your favourite shoe just before you're leaving home, or on the toilet seat when you're busting to go, they certainly don't care about your wants or needs.
One woman discovered this recently after finding a huge spider hiding in the handle of her car door.

Christine Jones posted the images on the Australian Spider Identification Page on Facebook, saying the eight-legged intruder was spotted in Armidale, New South Wales.
She wrote: "Thought it was hairy caterpillars at first. Haven't used my car for a week."
In the photos, you can see the gigantic, hairy arachnid hiding out in the narrow gap beneath the car door handle, its gangly legs just about visible.

Thankfully she 'saw it at the last moment' and avoided getting the absolute fright of her life when she reached underneath the handle.
Naturally, many Facebookers weren't too delighted by the sight of the oversized spider, with one commenting: "OMG.... I would have had a heart attack!!!"
A second added: "He/she certainly looks very cosy, and with a good view of the world. Lucky you saw it first."

Another said: "That's not your car any more, it has a new owner. might as well hand the keys over."
It really is a good job Jones clocked her little friend before going to get in the car, or she could have ended up having the lightbulb moment a little too late - which is what happened to another woman over in Sydney recently.
TikTok user truthinlove44 was so shocked and scared by her unexpected passenger that she ditched her car in the middle of a busy road, vowing to burn it down and get a new one rather than hop back in with the creature still inside.

In a video posted to her account, the woman can be seen standing outside the passenger side door and filming the inside of the motor, with the large spider crawling above the window on the driver's side.
Seemingly terrified, the woman can then be heard saying: "I am freaking out right now, look at that freaking spider. I've had to literally jump out of my car.

"I'm stuck in the middle of the road and, yuck. I'm going to set my car on fire and just, I'm going to burn this car and walk home because I can't, I can't, I can't deal."
Since she posted the clip, it has been liked more than 73,000 times, with hundreds of people commenting on it.
One user said: "The fact that you are literally outside your car in the middle of the road and no one has checked on you (laughing emoji)."
Another wrote: "I had a similar experience two weeks ago. I cried and started doing my sacred spider dance in front of Aldi."
