A daughter allegedly won $500,000 (£366,500) on an American game show by answering a question about her supposed father's sexual past. Watch below:

The game show, which aired on the Fox network between 2008 and 2009, was called The Moment Of Truth and was based on a Colombian version that translated to Nothing But The Truth.

The way it worked was - prior to the show, a contestant took part in a polygraph exam and asked 50 to 100 questions, which were asked again in front of the studio audience.

According to Game Shows Wiki: "Without knowing the results of the polygraph, they were asked 21 of those same questions again on the program, each becoming progressively more personal in nature.

"Each time he/she answered a certain number of questions truthfully, they won increasing amounts of money.

Well, the dated game show has resurfaced on TikTok via @clips_fypp and one particular unaired episode has racked up 2.2 million views and 127,800 likes.

In the unaired second season of the show (S2 E9), a contestant named Melanie Williams was asked a very uncomfortable question about a man who was believed to be her father - whether or not he had sexual relations as an adult with a minor.

Shockingly, Melanie answered yes, which coincided with the result from the polygraph exam her father would have taken before the show.

In order to give some context, it was revealed that her father was part of a polygamy marriage, which is the practice or custom of having one or more wife at the same time.c

As shown in the footage, Melanie was reluctant to answer the question yet after she did so she looked over to her father with a pretty unexplainable look.

After answering the question correctly, a teary Melanie got up and hugged the host, Mark L. Walberg, who congratulated her for winning $500,000.

Melanie said: It's a complicated question because the whole thing was not him doing it, it was men telling him what to do, they gave him a wife and he took it.

"You step up and take wives in this society and he did and he feels very guilt-ridden and guilty about it."

When asked if one of her father's wives were a minor, she confirmed with a 'yes'.

The man who claimed to be her father, John, then said: "I'm not sure when I did this I knew what a minor was it was a long time ago.

"Wife number two was 17... she had just got out of high school.

"Her father asked me to marry her and had all things set up and that was the religion I believed in, so I did."

As expected, viewers were pretty shocked with the clip.

One user asked: Why are they cheering?"

A second user commented: "BRUH WHY IS IT JEREMY KYLE IN A GAME SHOW FORMAT??"

Whilst a final user concluded: "Sickest game show ever and not in a good way."
