Jon Venables Sent To Prison After Cops Found 'Paedophile' Manual On Laptop

The man who savagely murdered toddler James Bulger has been sent back to jail on child pornography charges. During a routine visit to Jon Venables' home, police found a laptop hidden behind his bed which contained some sickening material.

According to the Mirror, Venables was able to download 1,000 images of kids as young as two years old being raped and abused.

But what shocked detectives more than the vile imagery found on the device was a 'paedophile manual', which described, in detail, unthinkable concepts such as how to 'safely' have sex with a child.

He's been sentenced to three years and four months behind bars at the Old Bailey, with James Bulger's mum and dad present to hear the verdict.

Mr Justice Edis told the court: "Given your history, it is significant that a number of the images and films were of serious crimes inflicted on male toddlers."

He added that the manual found on his laptop indicated Venables was 'at least contemplating the possibility' of victimising children. The court case revealed he had nearly 400 images classed as Category A (the most severe type of child abuse material), 148 Category B pictures and 630 classed as Category C.

Some thought the sentence was gravely inadequate, with Justice for James Campaign's Chris Johnson telling the BBC: "The length of the sentence is too short. Three years is really a farce because this is re-offending and there is a pattern to this behaviour.

"There should be no further collusion or attempts to cover up his offending behaviour. If re-bailed he must be kept on a very tight leash."

This isn't Venables first infraction for child abuse material either.

He was arrested in 2010 when his probation officer arrived at his flat and found the child killer trying to destroy his computer's hard drive. Again, upon inspection, authorities found children as young as two years old being abused and raped.

Venables was released from prison in 2013 and handed a new identity, his third since coming out of jail for the James Bulger murder. He was given these new personas to ensure no one could indentify him and attempt to enact their own vigilante justice for his actions.

The re-offending criminal has also, in the past, been booked for cocaine possession and was ordered into an alcohol awareness course following his arrest for a fight outside a club.
