A teenager in the US helped save a stranger 800 miles away after he crashed his quad bike live on TikTok. Watch here:

Thirteen-year-old Caden Cotnoir from Gilmanton, New Hampshire, was watching a TikTok livestream of Trent Jarrett, 12, riding his quad bike in West Virginia.

However, the livestream took a dramatic turn when the quad bike crashed.

Caden told WMUR-TV: "All of a sudden his phone goes kind of blank, you can see a little bit of light and you can just hear him yelling for help."

Trent was shouting the phone number of his grandparents - the only number he could remember - and it proved to be a savvy decision, as the onlooking Caden called it and was able to get the alert out to his family.

Trent's parents eventually found him after 20 minutes trapped under the quad bike - but it could have been a lot worse if it wasn't for Caden's decisive action.

His stepfather, local police chief Matt Currier, said: "He did what he was supposed to do and got the right people and it worked out.

"It was an Easter miracle."

Trent has thanked Caden.

The pair have never met in person, but they have since shared a Zoom call and Trent thanked him for what he had done.

Caden said: "If something happens, I'm always there in his thing, so if something ever goes wrong I'll most likely be there, like to help and stuff.

"Hopefully we'll get to meet some day."

Last year, a gamer in Brazil thanked his viewers for alerting police after he was robbed at gunpoint during a livestream.

Guilherme Menezes was gaming from his home in the Guaruja municipality, Sao Paulo, on 9 October when his headset was removed and a gun was pointed at his forehead.

The 25-year-old - known online as 'Guixxm' - was doing a livestream at the time and one of Guilherme's viewers who knows where he lives quickly alerted the police.

Meanwhile, Guilherme was moved into another room with the rest of us his family, where there was another home invader with a machete.

Guilherme was fully focussed on his game when the criminals broke in.

Speaking to Brazilian news outlet G1, Guilherme said: "As the game is my job and I get paid for it, when I'm focused on playing I don't get distracted.

"So in the video you can see that I only notice the assault when he actually puts the gun to my head. So much so that I even thought that it was a joke from someone in my family, but when I looked at his face, I realised what was happening.

"He pulled me out and I found my family all surrendered in the room. There was another robber with a machete."

Thankfully though, police arrived promptly at the scene; one robber fled and the other was arrested.
