The Real Life Conjuring House Is Going To Be Live Streamed For One Week

Quarantine is about to get creepier

The house that is the inspiration behind hit horror The Conjuring - and the family who currently live there - will be live-streamed for a week, starting on Saturday 9 May.

Taking place on The Dark Zone - a website dedicated to all things creepy and paranormal - there will be a free preview on 8 May. The full thing starts at midday Eastern Time (5pm GMT).

Everything about The Conjuring captured the imagination of people around the world, mainly because it's purportedly based on true events that happened to the Perrons - the family who lived in the Rhode Island house in the 70s.

The Perron family initially started by seeing things move, items going walkabouts or missing altogether, and spotting ghostly apparitions around the house.

It then turned out that eight generations of another family had lived in the house. That is, until a remarkable number of them died in mysterious or suspicious circumstances.

Strange drownings, murders and suicides all around. Horror movie gold, basically.

That's before we get to the instances of alleged demonic possession, occultism and satanism that took place there.

It's a spooky f***ing house, in short.

Not creepy at all...

The official synopsis reads: "The world is on lockdown and so is the family living in the house that inspired The Conjuring. Watch as the Heinzen family shows you how they live amongst the spirits while toughing out this worldwide pandemic.

"You will get an immersive and interactive look inside the real conjuring house. When paranormal activity happens, you'll see it LIVE. From seances to conjurings, there is a full week's schedule of planned activities, investigations and tests to perform, plus a full roster of paranormal celebrities who will be joining the livestream - virtually visiting with the family."

No thank you.

It continues: "They'll hear from Andrea Perron, author and survivor of the original Conjuring haunting, Dave Schrader from Darkness Radio, Kristen Luman from Ghost Hunters, Susan Slaughter from Paranormal Caught on Camera, Patrick Doyle from Ghost Mine, Colin Browen from The Paranormal Files, Bridget Marquardt The Ghost Magnet, Aiden Sinclair from Illusions of the Passed, Rick Macallum from The Hollywood Ghost Hunters, Jay and Marie Yates from Haunted Case Files, Sam Baltrusis - author of Ghost Writers, Jay Verburg from Ghost Mine, and so many more."

It costs $4.99 (£3.96) for a 24-hour session of The House Live broadcast, but you can get the whole week for $19.99 (£15.87).

Some of the proceeds will go to Covid-related charities, with cheaper, discounted advance tickets be available on 1 May.
