JD Vance has reacted to the very public feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk this week.
Leading to plenty of ‘the girls are fighting’ and ‘messy break up’ memes, the tech boss began slamming the US president on X and went as far as alleging he ‘is in the Epstein files’.
He seems to have since removed this post but it’s fair to say the damage has been done, with Trump saying Musk ‘went crazy’ and voicing his ‘disappointment’ in his behaviour.

This all began following the SpaceX founder leaving his post at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and expressing his opposition to the ‘big and beautiful’ bill, renaming it ‘ugly’.
And part of Musk’s public rant included sharing a post which read: “Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”

With the former ‘first buddy’ seeming to show agreement with this suggestion, Vance has broken his silence on the whole feud.
The vice president appeared on yesterday’s (7 June) episode of This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von, where he was shown the Epstein tweet. He claimed he hadn’t ‘even seen’ it before.

“First of all, absolutely not,” Vance said. “Donald Trump didn’t do anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein. There’s - the guy is - whatever the Democrats and the media says about him, that’s totally BS.”
He went on to say that he’s ‘always going to be loyal’ to the president, adding: “I hope that eventually Elon kind of comes back into the fold.
“Maybe that’s not possible now because he’s gone so nuclear.”
Vance put Musk’s big online outburst up to him ‘being new to politics’ and frustrations over his ‘businesses are being attacked non-stop’ since joining the White House.

The Tesla boss has since responded to a clip of the vice president speaking about his hope they can become friends again, as he wrote: “Cool.”
Vance went on to say that while Trump has been ‘frustrated’, he has been ‘restrained’ because ‘the president doesn’t think that he needs to be in a blood feud with Elon Musk’.
“And I actually think if Elon chilled out a little bit, everything would be fine,” he claimed.
Vance also added that ‘Elon is entitled to his opinion’, however, he said: “It’s a huge mistake for the world’s wealthiest man - I think one of the most transformational entrepreneurs ever - to be at war with the world’s most powerful man, who I think is doing more to save the country than anybody in my lifetime.”
