Elon Musk issues most damning statement yet against Donald Trump being elected US President

Musk is having one of his famous rants and this time, Trump is the victim

Well, the latest messy public break-up is here and it’s not from a pair of Hollywood actors or ex reality TV stars. Instead, it’s between two men with a whole lot of power to their names.

Yep, it's Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The once ‘first buddys’ have been hitting out at each other with the Tesla boss now issuing perhaps the most damning statement yet about the US President being elected.

There’s been rumours for a while that things between the pair had become rocky, after they’d been somewhat joined at the hip for Trump’s first few months back in office.

But it was always going to come to an end in some way, with Musk’s role in the government as a ‘special federal employee’ singing him to work for up to 130 days there each year.

And yet, his exit from heading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) still came as a bit of a shock as he resigned three days early – just after sharing critical comments of Trump and his 'big, beautiful bill'.

Musk suggested that the bill would increase the federal deficit and also 'undermine the work' that DOGE has done over the past four months, while the President described it as ‘big and beautiful’.

Things have seemed to really have ramped up since then though, as heated comments have made their way out of the pair.

Earlier today (5 June), the X boss took aim at Trump following comments he made in the Oval Office.

The President said that he was ‘very disappointed with Elon’, saying: “When he left he said the most beautiful things about me, he hasn’t said anything bad yet but I’m sure that will be next…I’ve helped Elon a lot.”

Well, it seems he was right as the ‘bad’ has been coming in.

While Trump said he ‘would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon’, the tech boss doesn’t seem to agree.

Musk suggested on X: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

“Such ingratitude,” he added.

He’s now on a rampage of sharing criticism of the government and has even reposted a poll asking: “Who is right? Elon Musk or Donald Trump.”

Musk has even renamed the ‘big beautiful bill’ as the ‘Big Ugly Spending Bill’ as he claims it was ‘never’ show to him ‘even once’.

Resharing old posts from Trump that Musk had agreed with, he asks this evening: “Where is the man who wrote these words? Was he replaced by a body double?”

Well, I’m not sure this was the messy breakup I was expecting to start off summer, but I’m strapping in and it's absolutely kicking off.

With the X boss on a bit of a rampage, Trump has since taken to his site, Truth Social, to slam: "Elon was 'wearing thin', I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!"
